Real Madrid is at the forefront of everyone’s mind at this point. In a matter of just hours, everyone will know whether the Bavarians can keep their treble hopes alive or if they need to reset expectations. Aside of the outcome, one thing to watch is the yellow card situation for four of Bayern Munich’s players — Konrad Laimer, Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, and Jonathan Tah (via @iMiaSanMia ).
If any of those players are assessed a yellow card away, they would miss the first leg in the semifinal round if Bayern Munich advances. For his part, Vincent Kompany is not concerned with the yellow cards. None of it will matter if the team does not advance.
“That’s not a topic right now, although I need to say it’s maybe a topic for next year. I think it’s really tough to come through these rounds in Europe without suspensions. There are more games now but you still have a suspension after three cards.
