Brian Barry-Murphy says Cardiff City's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town is "great point in the circumstances" given how his side performed for long periods against the Terriers.

Brian Barry-Murphy says Cardiff City's 1-1 draw with Huddersfield Town is a "great point in the circumstances". The Bluebirds looked on course for defeat at Accu Stadium until Yousef Salech equalised in the 95th minute after Ryan Ledson had put the Terriers ahead in the opening half. And head coach Barry-Murphy says he was relieved his side were able to give the travelling Cardiff supporters something to celebrate late on having been short of their best levels against Huddersfield.

"I think it's a great point in the circumstances," he said. "We have to accept that we weren't at our best. "It's pleasing, with the amount of supporters we had there, to get to celebrate in such dramatic fashion.

" Cardiff City What do Cardiff need for promotion in League One? The draw means Cardiff's likely promotion party will have to be put on hold until at least Saturday when the Bluebirds return to action at Reading (15:00 BST). Barry-Murphy's men will seal a return to the Championship if they defeat the Royals and Stockport County drop points in either of their games against Wimbledon on Wednesday night or Exeter City at the weekend.

"Its a great experience for our team to have to go through the process of trying to win promotion and trying to understand how difficult it is," added Barry-Murphy. "We have to live that, enjoy every single part of it and try and win on Saturday. "Our objective is to try and win promotion, that would be an amazing achievement.
