To say it's been an interesting start to the 2026 campaign for the New York Yankees would be putting things lightly.

While the Yankees haven't been that bad, currently sitting at 9-8, they were certainly expecting things to go a bit better. There are a few reasons why the Yankees have struggled early on, but much of it isn't due to the injuries on the mound. The Yankees' pitching staff has actually been great, but the high-powered offense hasn't been able to do enough to win games.

Regardless, the Yankees were able to come away with a win against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night, a contest in which their pitching staff wasn't great. After dropping five in a row, slugger Aaron Judge didn't exactly sound too happy about getting the win outside of the fact that his team just bounced back. “It ends that losing streak, that’s about it,” Judge said, per SNY .

It was still a special night for the Yankees and Judge, as he made some Yankees history. He passed Mickey Mantle with his 47th career multi-home run game in a regular-season contest. “That’s special,’’ Judge said of passing Mantle.
