It's been a disastrous start to the season for the New York Mets , something that absolutely needs to get figured out, or this needs to be blown up.
For a Mets team that was expected to be one of the better in the National League East, not only have they dealt with injuries, but they're already in fifth place in the division. The National League East is very competitive, as even the Miami Marlins are looking like a team that has to be taken seriously this season. If the Mets want to figure this thing out, it's going to have to happen sooner rather than later.
There are a few different ways that the Mets can improve on either side of the baseball, but doing so on the mound should be a priority. Contending teams always need pitching, so a recent trade proposal for New York could go a long way. Pivetta isn't an ace at this stage of his career, but he's still a pretty good arm.
