Bengals' local pro day could produce NFL draft sleepers
The Bengals' local pro day had some names they might target late in the NFL draft.
The Cincinnati Bengals hosted their annual local pro day on Tuesday. Like every year, the 32 draft-eligible players largely hailed from Miami Ohio, the Cincinnati Bearcats and Ohio State Buckeyes, among a few others. Bearcats names included the following: OT Deondre Buford LB Jack Dingle C Gavin Gerhardt TE Patrick Gurd DE Jalen Hunt DE CJ McCray CB Matthew McDoom DT Isaiah Rogers S Xavier Williams CB Logan Wilson From Ohio State: LS John Ferlmann K Jayden Fielding DT Tywone Malone Jr.
G Ethan Onianwa Also of note in the pool of local high schools and residents was Jalen Kitna, son of former Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna. Wide receiver Rodney Heath Jr. is the son of former Bengals defender Rodney Heath Sr.
, too. When it comes to possible late-round gems the Bengals might’ve had in attendance during the event, Illinois defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. sticks out.
