Michigan State basketball center target commits to Indiana
On a day where Indiana was projected to land Aiden Sherrell, the Hoosiers also landed another top center prospect for the Spartans.
On a day that saw the Spartans top transfer portal target get predicted to go elsewhere , Michigan State basketball saw their No. 2 target commit to the same school. SMU transfer center Samet Yigitoglu has committed to Indiana, the same school that is expected to land Sherrell.
This is a massive blow to the Spartans, coming from a team inside of their conference no-less, as these two guys were the top two center targets on the MSU big board. Yigitoglu is a 7-foot-2, 265-pound big man from Turkey. In two years with the Mustangs, he averaged 10.
4 points, 7. 1 rebounds and 1. 2 blocks in 66 games.
The Spartans will now have to turn to the rest of their big board in order to land a commitment from a center, that is presumed to be a starter in the 2026-27 campaign.
