Iowa football has added another commitment to its 2027 high school recruiting class.

IOWA CITY — Class of 2027 defensive lineman Jerrence Knoblock has committed to Iowa football, he announced April 14. At the time of his commitment, Knoblock was unranked and unrated by the 247Sports Composite. Knoblock, who attends West Lyon High School in Inwood, Iowa, was offered by the Hawkeyes in late March.

His list of offers included North Dakota State, South Dakota State and South Dakota. Knoblock is listed at 6-foot-6 and 220 pounds, according to his social media. Knoblock is the eighth commitment in Iowa's 2027 high school recruiting class.

Five of those eight pledges come from the state of Iowa: Knoblock, offensive lineman Nate Brenneman, tight end Jaxx DeJean (younger brother of former Hawkeye Cooper DeJean), along with linebackers Gavin Stecker and Braylon Bingham. Knoblock is the second defensive lineman to commit in Iowa's 2027 class, joining three-star Tommy Riordan, the younger brother of current Hawkeye offensive lineman Gene Riordan.
