Minnesota wing transfer commits to Michigan State hockey

Michigan State strikes again, adding a veteran Big Ten forward via the transfer portal.

It has been a day of commitments for Michigan State hockey, who are striking while the iron is hot in the transfer portal. This time, the Spartans have picked up a commitment from a rising upperclassman within the Big Ten conference. Jimmy Clark, who is leaving Minnesota, is headed to Michigan State.

An Edina (MN) native, Clark was a seventh round draft pick by the Minnesota Wild in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He has spent the past three seasons with Minnesota, where he played in 114 games, compiling 14 goals and 35 assists in that time. A veteran presence to bring into the Spartans locker room, Clark has been a part of a lot of Big Ten hockey games, while also competing in two NCAA Tournaments.

Former Minnesota forward Jimmy Clark will transfer to Michigan State. Seventh round pick by the Wild in 2023. Four goals and 12 assists in 36 games for the Gophers last season.
