USC’s 2027 recruiting class has quickly been moving up in the rankings . Could the Trojans be adding another big prospect to it soon? On Friday, four-star edge rusher Mekai Brown is set to announce his commitment.
He will choose between a final five of USC, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas A&M , and Ole Miss . Brown is a product of Greenwich, Connecticut. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No.
49 overall player and the No. 6 edge rusher in the class of 2027. “I talked to many people through this process and they said they've been ready to commit after every official visit so I just wanted to make the decision logically and not based off emotion,” Brown said in an interview with 247Sports .
“I think the relationship with [the position coach at the school that I choose] definitely matters. That is who I am going to be spending most of my time with and I think the guy I am putting the trust in developing me is not only going to develop me as a player, but as a man as well. “I couldn't be more excited for the journey.
