McIlroy is an investor in WHOOP, according to Reuters . The data revealed that McIlroy, 36, woke up on Monday morning with a 7% recovery, likely after a night of celebrating with family and friends after the green jacket ceremony. The three days prior showed green recovery rates of 89%, 79%, 94% and 87%.

On Sunday, McIlroy apparently took 24,000 steps, the WHOOP data showed.

When McIlroy shot on the 18th tee, his heart rate was at 135 beats per minute, and when he sunk in the putt to clinch, McIlroy found a way to focus and lowered his heart rate to 105 beats per minute. Fans familiar with the WHOOP data were impressed by McIlroy's ability to stay calm in big moments. "The 4 days of green recovery DURING competition is crazy.
