Michigan State hockey has reportedly added another high-level player to its roster via the transfer portal

Michigan State hockey has added another high-level player to its roster via the transfer portal. Arizona State transfer forward Cullen Potter has reportedly committed to Michigan State. The news of Potter's commitment to the Spartans was reported by Brad Elliott Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald.

Potter was a first round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames and has posted some solid numbers during his two seasons at Arizona State. He recorded 25 goals and 23 assists across only 59 games during his two seasons with the Sun Devils. Potter was originally committed to Michigan State before flipping to Arizona State a few years ago.

Now, he'll finally come to Michigan State and hopefully help lead the Spartans to their first Frozen Four in 20 years next season. 🚨PORTAL WATCH ALERT🚨 Michigan State has landed (one time commit) Cullen Potter via the Portal; per the 🐐 @SchlossmanGF 🟢⚪️⚔️ 1st Round pick in 2025 NHL Draft by the #flames had 48 points in two seasons for ASU. pic.
