This draft season, we’ll be scouting as many of the top prospects that the Pittsburgh Steelers could have their eye on. We’ll break down the prospects themselves, strengths and weaknesses, projected draft capital, and their fit with the Steelers. The Steelers have built a competitive secondary over the past two offseasons, but don’t have anyone locked down long-term.

Star corner Joey Porter Jr. is awaiting a lucrative extension on his rookie contract, and every other corner on their roster has either just one year left under contract or has a deal that allows the Steelers to move on with few financial repercussions following 2026. Johnson is one of just a handful of first-round prospects who have been brought in for a pre-draft visit, making him a serious contender for Pittsburgh’s top pick.
