Giants' Joe Schoen: 'Productive' conversations with Dexter Lawrence

New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen provided an update Tuesday on ongoing discussions with All-Pro nose tackle Dexter Lawrence, who requested a trade earlier this month amid stalled contract negotiations. "We've had good conversations with his representatives throughout the last five or six days," Schoen told reporters. "We've all been in communication.

We're all trying to find some resolution. We'd all like for Dexter to be here. And at some point, we'll come to a resolution here, whatever that may be.

We'll see. But conversations have been really good. They've been productive.

We'll see what happens here down the road. " Schoen added that he remains open to fielding inquiries from other teams. "I'm always going to pick up the phone, so if a team calls," he said, while noting it may not reach the level suggested by head coach John Harbaugh last week.
