The Patriots made a significant move last year in the draft, selecting LSU's left tackle Will Campbell with the No. 4 pick. Campbell played a crucial role for New England, helping them reach the Super Bowl.
However, would the Patriots still choose Campbell again if they had the chance to redo the draft? Nick Baumgardner from The Athletic re-drafted the 2025 draft and still had the Patriots taking Campbell, despite watching every other rookie player in the league for an entire season. "Campbell’s Super Bowl performance drew a lot of criticism — and that’s fine," Baumgardner wrote on Monday.
"But let’s remember Campbell was a big part of New England’s resurgence in the first place, and he’s absolutely the type of player who will learn and improve from that setback. " If it hadn't been for Campbell, Drake Maye might not have made the leap he did last season. Campbell played a crucial role in Maye's success by protecting his blind side, which allowed Maye to perform at his best.
