Steelers meet with fan-favorite first-round prospect before NFL Draft
The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted Penn State offensive guard Olaivavega Ioane for a pre-draft visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Pittsburgh Steelers brought a fan-favorite draft prospect for a pre-draft visit , a projected first-round offensive lineman that could easily fill in as the starting left guard. According to Penn Live's Nick Farabaugh, Penn State offensive guard Vega Ioane , a standout prospect many assume will be selected in the first twenty picks, visited with Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Joining him on the visit were Iowa offensive guard Beau Stephens and Ohio State tight end Will Kacmarek.
The Steelersโ are hosting three pre-draft visitors today: Penn State G Vega Ioane Iowa G Beau Stephens Ohio State TE Will Kacmarek Ioane is viewed as a lock first round pick and the top guard in the class. โ Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) April 14, 2026 Ioane, who allowed zero sacks from 2024-2025 and posted an impressive 87. 0 PFF pass-blocking grade last season, is regarded as one of the top o-linemen prospects of his class.
The Steelers may need to jump ahead of the Baltimore Ravens, however, as they also have shown pre-draft interest in Ioane and hold the No. 14 overall pick. Trading up shouldn't be a problem, however, as Pittsburgh holds an astonishing 12 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft and isn't expected to make every selection.
