The march to Sulphur is officially on as the 2026 LHSAA Baseball State Tournament brackets are officially out. Last year, three 337-area teams got to bring home some hardware and, now, the journey starts all over again. This year, 28 teams hailing from Lafayette Parish and its surrounding areas have earned a spot in the playoffs.
Securing the highest seeding is Opelousas Catholic, earning the No. 1 seed in Select Division IV bracket. Teurlings Catholic earned the No.
3 seed in the Select Division II bracket, following the Rebels is Acadiana Renaissance Charter at No. 4. Coming in at No.
4 of the Select Division I bracket is St. Thomas More, while Erath secured the No. 5 seed in the Non-Select Division III bracket.
