As we know, Jim Nantz is always at the Masters. This one, the last one, the next one. All of ‘em.
And each year, he gets a prime people-watching spot from his perch in the CBS booth. So it’s no surprise that he occasionally bumps into NFL players, coaches and even fellow broadcasters at the star-studded event. Despite Nantz’s four decades covering the Masters and 35 years covering the NFL, however, we can’t remember him coming back with a scoop as big as the one he shared on The Pat McAfee show on Tuesday.
That’s where Nantz lifted the hopes of an entire nation—Colts Nation, that is—by sharing that he saw Indianapolis Colts QB Daniel Jones walking the hilly terrain of Augusta National this weekend. ' “Daniel Jones was there,” reported Nantz. “He’s was doing fine. He was walking around … I can’t speak to how far they walked, but I know they were out there looking absolutely normal.
