McDavid is under contract with the Edmonton Oilers for two seasons after this one, but that doesn't stop such musings. The Athletic recently took a poll of hockey agents about the future of the sport, and a couple of topics point to what McDavid's future might look like. McDavid got 13 of the 21 votes, including a suggestion that he'll be making $20 million per year.
