Kompany confirms Gnabry is fit to face Real Madrid
Kompany confirms Gnabry is fit to face Real Madrid After missing Bayern Munich’s 5-0 Bundesliga win over FC St. Pauli at the weekend due to a minor knee problem, Serge Gnabry is fully fit again. Bayern coach Vincent Kompany confirmed at a press conference on Tuesday that the 30-year-old is ready to play the full game when FC Bayern face Real Madrid in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday.
“He's fit,” Kompany said. “Serge can play 90 minutes. We've travelled so much in recent weeks and didn't want to take any risk when we've got a full squad,” he added, explaining Gnabry’s absence from the squad at the weekend.
"But we're not thinking about minutes. Essentially, every player here can fight for the whole game. " Only Sven Ulreich (groin) and Lennart Karl (hamstring) are unavailable for Bayern, who carry a 2-1 advantage into Wednesday’s return leg.
