Apparently, there could be even more good news on the way for the program.
Indiana is the favorite to land Alabama transfer forward Aiden Sherrell, who was in Bloomington for a visit in recent days, per reporting from Jeff Goodman of the Field of 68 . Landing Sherrell would be massive for the Hoosiers’ frontcourt, which was one of the biggest issues for Darian DeVries’ first roster this past season. Indiana simply lacked the size to reliably compete against Big Ten competition and the 6’11” Sherrell, who can play both power forward and center, would change that immediately.
Sherrell just finished his second season at Alabama and first as a starter, averaging 11. 1 points, 6. 2 rebounds and 1.
1 assists while shooting 53. 9% from the field and 33. 8% from 3-point range.
