Herrington was drafted in the fourth round of the 2025 NHL Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. He played for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL in the 2024-25 season, where he was second in the league in goals during the regular season (16). Herrington is a skilled two-way defenseman with a great shot.
Penn Stateโs defense is half gone with Jarod Crespo and Carter Schade graduating and Cade Christenson entering the transfer portal on Monday. A right-hand shot, Herrington should be a solid partner for Jackson Smith or Mac Gadowsky.
