This Notre Dame basketball star's story continues to be inspiring and the next chapter will officially take place in the WNBA . Cassandre Prosper's rise continued on Monday evening when she was drafted by the Washington Mystics with the No. 19 overall draft pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.
She is now the 24th player in Notre Dame history to have been drafted into the WNBA and the third Irish player drafted by the Washington Mystics. Her selection came after a breakout season where she started all 36 games and earned ACC Most Improved Players honors along with a spot on the All-ACC Second Team. Prosper averaged 13.
6-points, 6. 5-rebounds, 1. 6-steals and 1.
1-blocks per game this past season, all of which were career highs. She also shot 49. 2% from the field, scoring in double-figures 27 times and a total of six double-doubles.
