Where Wisconsin football's class of 2027 ranks nationally (April 14)

Wisconsin football is off to a strong start on the class of 2027 recruiting trail. After several years of a limited in-state output, the program already has commitments from eight homegrown players, three of whom are blue-chip recruits. Four-star running back Kingston Allen headlines the program's early group of commitments.

247Sports ranks the Green Bay, Wisconsin, native as the No. 139 player in the class, the No. 6 running back and the top recruit from Wisconsin.

Four-star tight end Korz Loken and offensive tackle Cole Reiter follow close behind. They are the state's No. 2 and No.

3-ranked players, respectively. Loken also sits as the No. 7 tight end in the nation, while Reiter is the No.

19-ranked offensive tackle. Beyond those three, the Badgers hold commitments from five three-star prospects: interior offensive lineman Hunter Mallinger, edge rusher Isaac Miller, safety Dustin Roach, offensive tackle Ethan McIntosh and interior offensive lineman Reece Mallinger. As noted, all eight of the program's commitments to date are from in-state prospects.
