Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to make her long-awaited return to the octagon, facing Gina Carano on May 16 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The blockbuster fight, presented by Most Valuable Promotions , will stream on Netflix as a professionally sanctioned bout under the Unified Rules of MMA. It will be contested at 145 pounds over five 5-minute rounds, with both fighters wearing 4-ounce gloves.

" This will be Caranoโs (7-1) first fight since 2009, when she suffered a first-round knockout loss to Cristiane "Cyborg" Justino at the 4:59 mark. Rousey last competed in 2016 before stepping away from the sport to start a family and pursue other endeavors. She holds a record of 12-2, with both losses coming at the end of her career, a stunning second-round TKO to Holly Holm in 2015 and a first-round knockout to Amanda Nunes in 2016.
