Tennessee softball sweeps Kentucky

Tennessee softball completes series sweep at Kentucky.

Tennessee (37-6, 12-6 SEC) completed a three-game series sweep against Kentucky (24-22, 1-17 SEC). The Lady Vols won a series finale, 10-3, on Monday at John Cropp Stadium in Lexington, Kentucky. Tennessee has won 10 straight games against Kentucky and 20 of its last 22 contests dating to the 2015 season.

Erin Nuwer (14-1) started for the Lady Vols on Monday and recorded her 14th win in 2026. She totaled five strikeouts and 94 pitches, including 58 strikes, against 25 batters. Nuwer allowed six hits (one home run), three runs (one earned), one walk and hit one batter.

Sage Mardjetko pitched two innings in relief and recorded three strikeouts and 32 pitches (18 strikes). Tennessee totaled 13 hits in Game 3. Alannah Leach (two), Ella Dodge and Maddi Rutan hit home runs for the Lady Vols.

Tennessee will next play on Wednesday at Duke in a nonconference game. First pitch between the Lady Vols and Blue Devils is slated for 7 p. m.
