Another insider weighs in on Travis Hunter's playing time in 2026
Another insider weighs in on what Travis Hunter's playing time could look like in 2026 with the Jaguars.
Much has been made recently about how the Jacksonville Jaguars will utilize Travis Hunter this season. Ian Rapoport mentioned last week, echoing a report from earlier this offseason from Cameron Wolfe, that Hunter would be a "full-time" wide receiver and a "part-time" cornerback. Hunter would then respond on X to Rapoport, saying , "Now who told you this?
" Now, while appearing on the Pat McAfee Show, ESPN's Adam Schefter is sharing what he's hearing. "It's middle of April, and there's a lot of ways this can go, but here's the way I expect it to go right now: he is going to have his snaps at cornerback spike this year," Schefter said. "So it was 162 snaps on defense last year, 324 on offense -- he's still going to play offense too.
I can tell you that the plans are to use him at wide receiver again, just the way they did last year, and to have his spike snaps at the cornerback position and that's why they gave up multiple picks to go get Travis Hunter, is to have the luxury to be able to play him at both spots, and if you need him at a certain spot, to insert him at that spot.
