Check out the brackets and schedules for Pensacola area high school baseball district tournaments, which begin Tuesday.
It’s postseason time for high school baseball. District tournaments begin in the Pensacola area on April 14. Pace (6A) and Northview (Rural) are the only area teams that are top seeds in their respective districts, though plenty of other teams are looking to strengthen their resumes for the state playoffs.
Other teams will need to win the district tournament to extend their season, as the winner automatically qualifies for the state playoffs. The first round of the state playoffs will take place next week. Regional quarterfinals for class 4A-7A will be April 24, regional quarterfinals for 1A-3A will be April 25.
The rural classification will start with the regional semifinals, which will be a best two-out-of-three series running on May 1-2. District champions automatically host in the regional quarterfinals unless they match up against a higher-seeded district champion. If the two teams aren’t district champions, then the higher seed hosts.
The higher seed will host in the regional semifinals and finals. Below is a breakdown of each district tournament featuring area teams, featuring schedules and where teams stand in the state playoffs. All rankings are from the April 7 FHSAA rankings.
