Players from Monroe, Troy, Anchor Bay and Romeo are finalists for the Detroit Free Press Buffalo Wild Wings Girls Athlete of the Week from April 5-11.

It's time to vote for the Detroit Free Press Buffalo Wild Wings Girls Prep Athlete of the Week . This week's poll features four players โ€“ two soccer and two softball โ€“ who had standout performances during the week of April 5-11. Voting will close at noon on Friday, April 17.

Here are the nominees (listed in alphabetical order by last name): Carmen Flatt, Monroe, soccer The sophomore had a breakout game for Monroe in the team's 6-3 season opener against Temperance Bedford on Tuesday, April 7. Flatt scored five goals in the game in her debut on offense this season after spending her freshman year playing defense. Olivia Jasniewicz, Troy, soccer Jasniewicz led her team in scoring last week in Troy's two victories, against Clarkston and Bloomfield Hills.

She scored four goals and had one assist for the week to keep the Colts undefeated. Savannah Letson, Anchor Bay, softball Leston led Anchor Bay to a dominating 16-3 win against Utica Eisenhower on April 7 in its season opener. The team also picked up a victory against Grosse Pointe North on April 9, and split a doubleheader against Midland Dow on Saturday.

Phoebe Maximiuk, Romeo, softball The sophomore pitcher made her varsity debut on April 8, leading Romeo to defeat Lake Orion, 7-2. She pitched seven innings with six strikeouts. Romeo played a doubleheader against Macomb L'Anse Creuse North on April 11, as Maximiuk split her time between pitcher and first base.
