Monday Seacoast Standout: Winnacunnet softball senior blasts walk-off home run
Senior Hayren Reynoso hit a leadoff, walk-off home run in the eighth inning for the Winnacunnet High School softball team in Monday's season opener.
HAMPTON - Senior Hayren Reynoso certainly made Greg Cochrane's first game as head coach of the Winnacunnet High School softball team a memorable one. Reynoso, the seventh batter in Winnacunnet's lineup, blasted a two-strike, leadoff walk-off home run over the fence in straightaway center field as the Warriors rallied for a 4-3 season-opening, eight-inning win over Keene. "She got down on two tough strikes, and she just absolutely demolished the third pitch she saw.

"It was just like you wanted it to be with everybody out of the dugout, jumping up and down, screaming and yelling," Cochrane said. "It was awesome, very nice.
" Winnacunnet rallied for two runs in the seventh to send the game into extra innings. "The excitement and thrill at the end was something," Cochrane said. "This win means everything.
