Many Bears fans want them to go out and add an edge rusher, but that doesn't mean other parts of the defense don't need to improve. The secondary is an area for the Bears to get better in, and a recent trade proposal would help them accomplish that. Ralph Vacchiano proposed Chicago going out and getting Denzel Ward from the Cleveland Browns for a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 sixth-rounder, a deal that would make a lot of sense for Chicago.
