The dynamic duo is back together. On Tuesday night, former UConn women’s basketball star Azzi Fudd was selected by the Dallas Wings with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft in New York City.
By joining the Wings, Fudd is reunited with former UConn teammate Paige Bueckers , becoming the first former college teammates to be selected No. 1 overall in back-to-back drafts . During their time at UConn, Fudd and Bueckers led the Huskies to the 2025 national championship, with Fudd earning the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player award.
