Crochet was coming off an excellent performance in which he limited the Milwaukee Brewers to two runs over 6 1/3 innings. Things didn't go as planned for the lefty. In the first inning, the Twins jumped all over Crochet and pushed four runs across the board.

In the second inning, they added seven more, in part thanks to two home runs. Crochet's pitch shapes were in line with 2025, but his velocity was down across the board. He didn't strike out a hitter and only induced three swings and misses.

It was the first start of his career without striking out a hitter, and his shortest career start aside from one where he was forced out of the game due to a weather delay. "It's tough," Crochet said. "I don't really have anything to say, I'm just going to flush it as best as I can and move on to the next one.
