UNC guard Luka Bogavac makes key decision on college basketball future
Now in its second week of existence, the college basketball transfer portal is in full effect. UNC just landed its first portal commitment on Monday, from Virginia Tech freshman Neoklis Avdalas. North Carolina will also have a few of its 2025-26 starters gone via the portal, such as starting point guard Derek Dixon, who committed to Arizona on Monday.
The Tar Heels will say goodbye to Luka Bogavac after previously re-affirming his commitment to UNC for this fall. Despite flip-flopping between the Tar Heels' bench and starting lineup, fans could expect 10 points on any given night from the European sharpshooter who brought a needed scoring punch to North Carolina. While he struggled in postseason play, Bogavac averaged 9.
8 points per game for UNC. Now in Stillwater, Bogavac has the chance to become a leading option for head coach Steve Lutz at Oklahoma State.
