INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever selected Jessica Timmons out of Alabama with the No. 40 overall pick. Timmons is a 5-9 guard who averaged 16.
3 points and 4. 5 rebounds in her senior season at Alabama. She shot 43% from the field and 39% from 3-point range with the Crimson Tide.
She was Alabama's bonafide leader this season, helping them to a 24-11 record and No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Timmons' selection ends the night for the Fever, who had three picks in the draft.
Indiana selected Raven Johnson with the No. 10 pick, giving the Fever depth and versatility in the backcourt, and guard-forward Justine Pissott with the No. 25 pick.
