The New York Jets and their quarterback position have been a hotly discussed topic this offseason, especially after the franchise signed Geno Smith.

Head coach Aaron Glenn stated Smith can take the Jets to the "promised land," so it is clear Glenn has faith in Geno, even after his horror 2025 season with the Las Vegas Raiders . But we all know Geno is a stop-gap player until the Jets can get their franchise quarterback, which most think will come next year. So, it won't make too much sense to take a quarterback in this year's draft, right?

Well, Sports Illustrated's Mike Kadlick thinks the Jets should be one of five teams that shouldn't leave the NFL Draft without adding a quarterback. “The Jets have made a handful of moves at quarterback so far this offseason, trading with the Raiders for Geno Smith before shipping Justin Fields off to Kansas City,” Kadlick wrote . “Behind Smith, New York’s quarterback room currently consists of Brady Cook and Bailey Zappe—hardly a long-term solution at the position.
