Eastern Michigan basketball's Godslove Nwabude transfers to Kent State
Eastern Michigan's Godslove Nwabude commits to Kent State after entering transfer portal.
KENT — The Kent State men's basketball team has made its first addition of the open transfer portal period . Former Eastern Michigan forward Godslove Nwabude will join the Golden Flashes for the 2026-27 season, the team announced on April 13. The Nigeria native spent the past two seasons with the Eagles.
Nwabude averaged 5. 4 points and 5. 5 rebounds in 33 games (30 starts) this season.
He also had 48 blocks and 17 steals. "I'm excited to add a player with Godslove's experience and basketball attributes," Kent State head coach Rob Senderoff said in a statement. "He has shown improvement over his two years at EMU, and I think he will continue to get better here at Kent State.
I can't wait to work with him. " Nwabude scored a career-high 16 points on Feb. 17 against Central Michigan.
