In the 2026 WNBA Draft on Monday, the Golden State Valkyries selected Flau'Jae Johnson at No. 8 overall. The former LSU women's basketball guard is officially headed to the professional level.

Johnson was projected as a first-round pick for much of her collegiate career. Some mock drafts had her going in the top five, especially as she cemented herself as one of the most prolific scorers in the country. After four years in Baton Rouge, Johnson finished at No.

5 on LSU's all-time leading scorers list. She racked up 2,063 points over her time playing for head coach Kim Mulkey, shooting 46. 7% from the field and averaging 14.
