The Green Bay Packers ' offense has perhaps one of the best potentials in the league, but it appears that the franchise didn't see receiver Dontayvion Wicks as part of the future.
The Packers are sending Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick. So, the Eagles didn't give up much in order to get Wicks through the doors, and Green Bay gets picks that won't really be difference-makers. That perhaps tells you all you need to know about how the Packers felt about Wicks.
For CBS Sports' Bryan DeArdo, in grading the move, from a Packers perspective, he's given it a C-. "This is a confusing move for Green Bay, given its question marks at the skill positions,โ DeArdo wrote . โYes, the Packers are deep at receiver and tight end, but their talent at both positions is still somewhat unproven, especially at wideout.
