Atlanta Braves first baseman Matt Olson has been a great addition since getting traded from the Oakland Athletics in 2022. The Braves gave up right-handers Ryan Cusick and Joey Estes, and catcher Shea Langeliers to acquire Olson. Since joining the Braves, the three-time Gold Glove winner has played in every game and reached an important milestone for his consecutive games streak.

Atlanta Braves Matt Olson continues to climb the consecutive game leader board Tuesday nightโ€™s game against the Miami Marlins marked Olsonโ€™s 799th game played. According to Braves beat writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Chad Bishop , Olson has the 11th-most consecutive games played in Major League Baseball history. More News: Braves receive a positive update on former All-Star If Olson plays on Tuesday, that will mark his 800th straight game played and put him 22 behind first baseman Gus Suhr (822) for 10th all-time.

If Olson is to finish out the season healthy, he will surpass third baseman Eddie Yost (829), who is ninth all-time. A three-time All-Star, Olson has played in all 162 games between 2022 and 2025, and played in all 162 while with the Athletics in 2018. Olson would have had five straight seasons of 162 games played, but missed four games (156) in 2021.
