The Dallas Wings have officially drafted UConn guard Azzi Fudd, with the number one selection in the 2026 WNBA Draft, and pairing her up with former teammate and last year’s number one pick, Paige Bueckers.
Fudd and Bueckers were teammates at UConn for four seasons from 2021-22 to 2024-25, where they managed to win a National Championship together in their final year as teammates. Although teammates for four seasons, they only shared the court together for three of them, with Bueckers being sidelined in 2022-23 with a torn meniscus. Overall, in their four seasons for the Huskies, they managed three Final Four appearances and four Big East regular season and conference tournament championships.
