Unpacking Future Packers: No. 14, Penn State OT Drew Shelton
Up next in the Unpacking Future Packers Countdown is Penn State offensive tackle Drew Shelton.
The Unpacking Future Packers Countdown is a countdown of 100 prospects who the Green Bay Packers could select in the 2026 NFL draft. The Green Bay Packers have their starting offensive tackles, with Jordan Morgan at left tackle to protect Jordan Love's blindside, and Zach Tom is entrenched at right tackle. A priority for Brian Gutekunst is to add a swing tackle with a potential target on Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, being Drew Shelton.
The Penn State offensive tackle checks in at No. 14 in the Unpacking Future Packers Countdown. A four-star recruit and Pennsylvania native, Shelton started six games at left tackle during his first two seasons with the Nittany Lions .
During his final two seasons at Happy Valley, Shelton started 28 games at left tackle. Shelton is a good athlete and moves like a tight end. He fires out of his stance and shows good mobility as a run blocker.
He's more than comfortable on his feet and rarely misses his landmarks. He latches onto a defender and can drive them downfield. "Shelton’s athleticism can be a strength for him," Daniel Gallen, a Penn State reporter for Lions247, said.
