However, the team is still interested in adding another arm. Shortly after releasing Dobbs, Mike Vrabel noted that the Patriots want to add another quarterback, and they want one they can develop. "We need a third arm," Vrabel told reporters earlier this offseason.

"We need to try to find a young guy that we can develop and potentially add to the roster, whether that's the active roster or the practice squad. " A young quarterback that the team can develop would likely be found in the draft. However, on Monday, Eliot Wolf revealed that the Patriots are also exploring players already in the league.

"We've evaluated all the quarterbacks," Wolf said. "We're continuing to do that. We're looking into some pro options as well.
