Haliburton, 26, said he's lost part of his eyebrow and gained significant weight while recovering from the illness during a media availability at the Pacers facility on Monday, April 13, roughly 10 months after the NBA star tore his right achilles in the NBA Finals. The Pacers point guard was gearing up for a return to the court after last year's injury when the Pacers said he was diagnosed with the shingles in February, setting back his recovery significantly.

"This has sucked," Haliburton told reporters, including James Boyd of The Athletic. "My dad had it during the Finals, on his stomach, and a lot of people get it there, but mine's on my face.

" Haliburton said his eye was "basically closed shut" in the first two weeks of having the rash. "It was all over my face," said Haliburton. "They told me I'd be really itchy, but I wasn't itchy for the first two weeks, I just had a bad rash.
