Ohio State's unique opportunity to make NFL draft history
The Buckeyes could stamp their name into history during the 2026 NFL draft with four players who could potentially be selected in the top 10..
There are NFL factories, and then there's Ohio State . The 2026 NFL draft green room will resemble a fall practice in Columbus, and the Buckeyes could make history if things fall a certain way. USA TODAY Sports' Raiders Wire covered the green room roster, which includes Caleb Downs, Carnell Tate, Sonny Styles, Arvell Reese and Kayden McDonald.
While this doesn't guarantee anything in terms of pick selection, it's a pretty good indicator that all five players are confidently projected to get drafted in the first round. Additionally, the Buckeyes could make NFL draft history if four out of the top 10 selections come from the above list. Ohio State S Caleb Downs has declared for the NFL Draft.
The Thorpe Award winner, a two-time unanimous All-American, and a national champion, Downs is widely considered a first-round lock, and perhaps the safest prospect in his class. Someone's getting a star. pic.
