Jaden Schutt, a Virginia Tech transfer, to join Kansas State basketball

A former Virginia Tech and Duke shooting guard will transfer to Kansas State basketball for the 2026-27 season.

MANHATTAN — Virginia Tech transfer guard Jaden Schutt has committed to Casey Alexander and Kansas State basketball. Schutt, who played in the last two seasons at Virginia Tech after starting his career at Duke, became the fourth player to commit to the Wildcats out of the transfer portal. His commitment was first reported by On3's Joe Tipton.

Schutt, at 6-foot-5, started 31 of 64 appearances for the Hokies over the last two seasons , with five coming in 2025-26. He averaged 7. 7 points in each of his two seasons with the Hokies, shooting 38.

5% from deep this season. He was a teammate with Colorado State transfer Brandon Rechsteiner, who committed to K-State on April 10, during the 2024-25 season. During that year, Schutt shot 35.

6% from beyond the arc and started in 26 of 32 games. The Yorkville, Illinois, native was the No. 50 overall recruit in the Class of 2022 and was a four-star guard committed to Duke.
