Arne Slot's side has not been great this season. But their low-point was definitely the game in Paris last week. Lining up with a new formation, this was a game that was supposed to limit PSG's influence in attack.
Yet none of that happened. PSG dominated and were still able to create plenty of chances. It is only to those missed chances than they can rue that there is still faith and optimism at Anfield.
A 2-0 deficit is not impossible to overturn. Yes, we've seen no sign that this Liverpool team can overturn it. But Anfield is a hallowed stadium on European nights, where we have seen miracles happen.
