Athletes from Ballinger, Christoval, Colorado City, Sonora and Wall were nominated for the San Angelo Standard-Times Athlete of the Week, presented by City national Bank.

As the Texas winter and spring high school sports season marches on, The Standard-Times will continue accepting nominations for City National Bank Athlete of the Week throughout the year. Plenty of action and outstanding performances remain in the high school sports season as local track teams head to the postseason and other spring sports ramp up competition. More: Wall's Baine Jenschke commits to Naval Academy for rugby The Standard-Times will release a list of finalists for the High School Athlete of the Week each Monday, and several standouts were nominated for the most recent City National Bank Athlete of the Week award.

The poll starts every Monday and runs until 11 a. m. Thursday , and the winner will be announced shortly after.
