Bills named trade candidate for former first-round wide receiver

Could the Bills find their next wide receiver via trade at the 2026 NFL draft?

The Buffalo Bills will enter the 2026 NFL draft with the wide receiver position remaining a need. Plenty of attention is on Buffalo's first-round pick at No. 26 overall relates to the Bills addressing this need.

However, could the answer potentially come via trade instead? FOX Sports laid out a scenario where the Bills could add to the receiver room via trade instead of with a draft pick. The outlet named a potential trade each NFL team could make during the upcoming draft and for the Bills, the target was Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

Not only did Thomas' production drop during the first season of Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen, the Jags selected receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter in Round 1 of last year's draft. Hunter might start playing solely cornerback more, but Thomas could still fetch the Jaguars a top pick in a deal. That is exactly what happens in this proposed involving the Bills.

The cost? Buffalo's No. 26 selection, a steep price to pay.
