The Cincinnati Reds made a notable roster move on Monday morning. The NL Central club announced that they've sent outfielder and third baseman Noelvi Marte to Triple-A. Charlie Goldsmith of FOX 19 reports that the Reds have recalled outfielder Rece Hinds in a corresponding move.
Marte was acquired by the Reds from the Seattle Mariners in 2022, as part of the deal that sent All-Star right-hander Luis Castillo to Seattle. At the time, he was regarded as one of the top prospects in baseball. In 11 games this season, he's hit just .
