When could Inter be crowned Serie A champions for 2025-26?
When could Inter be crowned Serie A champions for 2025-26? Inter took a big step towards the Serie A title with their 4-3 win over Como on Sunday, but when could Cristian Chivu’s side be mathematically confirmed as the Scudetto winners for 2025-26? Inter currently have a nine-point lead at the top of the Serie A table with six matches of the season left to play.
Chivu’s side have accumulated 75 points from 32 matches while their closest competitors, Napoli, find themselves on 66 points from 32 games in 2025-26. If both sides go on to win all of their remaining matches for the remainder of the season, Inter will be crowned the league champions at the end of their away match against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico on May 10, which falls in Week 26 of the Serie A season. There is a scenario where the Nerazzurri end up winning the Serie A title within their next two league matches.
If Inter win their next two games against Cagliari and Torino, and if Napoli either draw or lose in their next two, the gap between first and second place would open up to at least 13 points with four games remaining, making it impossible for Chivu’s side to be overtaken. In this scenario, Inter would be crowned champions at the end of their match away against Torino on April 26.
